Sent in a bug already. The changing of Ty Montgomery's position eligibility screws up our league. Because he now shows with 2 positions, I am showing 7 RBs instead of the 6 max, and 23 players instead of the 22 max (He is counting as 2 players)

Due to the bogus "Illegal Roster", I cannot make waiver claims.

This also messes up "double-point" TDs for players scoring in non-typical fashion (For example - In our league, if a WR rushes a TD or an RB has a TD reception, you get double points)

Bad move FF.

I'm in the same boat and can't make any roster moves. I emailed fleaflicker but no response yet. Why did they change his status to rb/wr if GB lists him as WR?

DieMikeyBoy Wed 10/26/16 3:58 PM

Yeah - this sucks. I do not know what to do. I have to make waiver wire moves tonight but am stuck now

rblair7 Wed 10/26/16 4:01 PM

Update. They literally just emailed me and said that after espn and rotoworld updated his positional status to rb/wr, they got flooded with requests to change it so they did also. Then went on to say that it will stay as rb/wr and it will be up to the commissioners to decide if they want to raise the roster maximums.

DieMikeyBoy Wed 10/26/16 4:47 PM

Thanks - I received the email also. You would think that they would've thought through the ramifications prior to just caving in to the requests. But I guess since the "almighty ESPN" did it, they had to conform.

Why they did not adjust the logic to only count the player 1 time / 1 position is baffling. Could have had 2 position eligibility without counting the player twice. And they should have sent a message to all users or at least commissioners instead of dropping a bomb the day before waivers.

Exactly! I even asked them why they don't just change Leveon Bell's status to rb/wr since he lines up as wr half of the time. They didn't respond to that! I'm just trying to understand the logic.

definitely not right, site is letting them use as wr, rb, or flex, I commission a league where we have min/max roster requirements and I feel it lets them manipulate the rules!!

This isnt a FF issue, the NFL allows the team to dictate his position. Its odd, yes, but it has happened in the past with other players such as Dexter McCluster.

A few points:

1) I am also in a FOX Sports league, and Ty Montgomery is only WR eligible. NFL Teams do not force Fantasy sites to add position eligibility during the season.

2) FleaFlicker needed to take the time to add logic to their code to NOT count 1 player as 2 players. Regardless of the number of eligible positions, 1 player is 1 player

3) FF decided to change this the day before waiver wire transactions WITHOUT notifying anyone. They should have sent a message to all fantasy members a few days in advance so commissioner & league members could decide how to handle & league settings could be tweaked.

IMO, Your second point is the only one that needs to be made. He's one player and should only be counted as 1.

It was causing WR and RB issues on my team so I dropped him this week for Hightower. Hoping for the best!
