Looking for Back up TE with some upside - I've narrowed down to 3 available on our waiver wire - Casey HOU - with Andre the giant out for @ 3 to 4 weeks and a weak WR core Casey could have a huge upside. Then there is Jared Cook TEN - Same situations, with no Britt the Titans will be looking to use Cook more and more as the season goes on - IF only FF would put the dual TE/WR label on him. Last option is V.Shiancoe - I know McNabb is McNott BUT with great matchups over the next 4-5 weeks and the chance of switching QBs one has to PONDER his upside down the stretch...So who would you take a flier on?
Shiancoe is a pretty boring grab - Kellen Winslow has more sex appeal, at this point (and that's a pretty big slam). Gotta go Jared Cook, here. If you're talking about a backup, you're really just looking for upside. Neither of the other two approach Cook's upside. Casey is good, but he isn't going anywhere without another injury to Daniels. Cook is the answer, period.
owen daniels will get more looks than casey, so that would leave you with cook or shiancoe, myself i would go with shaincoe, he has the most up side of them all, and is the main te target out of all 3.

Thanks for the input - Dallas Clark just showed up on the wire too - anyone think DC can exist with Painter?

Anything's possible. But no, not really. Clark is toxic to starting lineups until further notice.
