So today in my dynasty league, we tried to open free agency (adding, dropping, trading, etc.)...and apparently you cannot do this. All players remain locked until the draft. Which weird since there is an option to not lock free agents during the offseason. (I turned it on to give everyone a break as this is most people's first time in a dynasty league)
Long story short, we had keepers set...and I kicked off the draft just to see if I could get past it and then manually add our offline draft results later.
IT CLEARED ALL ROSTERS.
As nice as Flea Flicker is...holy crap is this a mess. Why should it be hard to make all players available without having to do the draft first? I realize people could pick up rookies, but I could just remove that player from their roster later.
1) Surely we are not the only league that does it this way.
2) I really just want to complain about having to go back in a manually add 360 players into their correct teams.
Helpful Post: They did email me and told me what I could have done differently, but it was too late by the time I could try it. I had already hosed it up. For future reference, the draft clears rosters and seemingly even with keepers chosen. Tread carefully.
Here's their note to me, which I swear I did, but try it before you do what I did:
Go to League-Settings-Edit Live Draft
Options-These are the complete rosters.
Then it should open free agency, when you're ready to draft head back
to Edit Live Draft Options and select what you'd like to use.
That is the correct way to do things. You must have hit Clear Rosters instead of Clear Non-Keepers. You cannot start a draft until all non-keepers have been released. The software does not drop players from rosters automatically.
Al;so, you stated that it was an offline draft. If so, how could Flea clear rosters for a draft not happening on the site?
I made the only choice I had and I didn't think I said something that should hurt anyone's feelings. Sorry pumpkin. And why are you responding and being absolutely no help?
I run with Flea, Yahoo, and ESPN... flea offers many more options. You just made the wrong choice. If you were nice they might help... but ESPN would never do such a thing. Take responsibility for your actions and if you are nice someone might help.
