Ok, I know. . . if it were Week 1 - 16 but I am in the Championship game this week and putting way too much thought into this, maybe. . .

Considering that DET would rather avoid playing the Saints next week, they need to lose at GB this week. So how likely is Calvin Johnson going to be scoring me some points with having a minor injury that he "could play through? I have Torey Smith who's Ravens need to win in order to get a 1st round BYE, plus Boldin is out. Tells me that Torey could be the guy to score big this week.

Never in any other week would I consider such a move but Week 17 always involves a different strategy.

Thoughts ???

100% wrong.

NO cannot finish with the #4 seed. They will be either #2 or #3. Assuming SF beats St.L., NO is #3 seed.

If you really believe that Det does not want to face NO, then Det needs to finish as the #5 seed, which means THEY MUST BEAT GB in the 1pm game, because I don't think Atl will lose to TB in the 4pm game.

The best advice I ever received was 'trust YOUR gut, and play the guy YOU think will score the most points for you'. After many years I've found that my initial reaction is usually the right one, which is why I don't second guess myself. If you think Smith is the pick, then go with Smith and be prepared to be the champ Monday morning.

In Week 17, you have to go with the guy who has more upside in that game. For me, that's Smith.
