I am the commissioner for a 10-team full dynasty league. We currently have 10 teams in the league but will be expanding to 12 after this season. The current owners have already decided on how the expansion draft will work (i.e., number of players that can be protected, positional restrictions, etc.) and I am trying to figure out the best way to execute this within the app.
Is there anyway to conduct an actual expansion draft whereby the available player pool is (1) made up of only the players that were not protected by owners and (2) have those players revert back to their original teams if they dont get drafted in the Expansion draft? I figure the first part could be accomplished by changing the number of keepers to the number of protections we agreed on, but its really the 2nd part of having players revert back to their original teams if undrafted by one of the 2 expansion teams.
Nothing available natively, that I could find. Just did this before this season. Had every team designate unprotected players. And then I dropped them into available players so the new owners could see all players available to them. Then in FB messenger I had those two draft in a snake draft of available players, while updating their new rosters as best as I could in real time. I made sure to keep a list of all players that had been unprotected so I could return them to the appropriate rosters. Gotta earn that commissioner money.. Best of luck!
