I looked all over the place before this season started to find 12 team owners, but finally contented myself with 10. Sure enough, when the season starts and people see exactly what I meant by a dynasty league they come running and want in next season. What's the best way (or some good ways) to add teams to an existing dynasty league?

Here's our leagues details:

-Roster size 30; able to keep as many as you want but no obligation to keep.

-I'm not sure the keeper format, it's fleaflicker default so I'm guessing if you keep you lose a draft pick??

-IDP (though there will be a vote to decide if we go to team defense next year. I imagine it'll stay IDP, but if it's Team Defense the roster will drop to 24)

-currently 10 teams, set up in two divisions (on a side note, I have the regular season and playoff formats set up in a real cool way. The regular season goes all 17 games and determines which division you're in next year based on final standings. Top 5 teams get promoted to "West Division", bottom 5 get relegated to "East Division". The double elimination tournament starts week 12 and runs concurrently to the rest of the regular season.)

plus the bragging rights, lol. Oh and the divisions are renamed each year based on the number #1 and #2 team in the west. As you can see, I like little customizations. It makes the league that much more interesting and separates it from every other fantasy league my friends could be in (and there are tons, each owner is in at least 2 other leagues, one owner is in 4 other leagues).

The teams in the West Division have a slightly easier schedule before the seeds are drawn for the playoffs. Since seeds are determined after week 11 they end up playing 4 strong West Division teams and 7 weaker East division teams before seeding. The East plays 7 strong West Division teams and 4 weaker East division teams. Plus #1 and 2 seeds always go to first and second place teams in the West.

The schedule evens out a bit for the "regular season" which goes all 17 games and determines the next years promotions/relegations. 8 games played against in-division rivals versus 9 games against out division teams. This makes it more fair in determining the divisions, but gives one division an advantage for playoffs. :)

I would strat your expansion now. Allow the new teams to grab some players off the waiver wire and make trades. As Commish, this will mean a lot of work for you, but it will also weed out any bad owners.

put how about for next year?? Would they just have their crappy 3rd string players? I mean, we did take 300 players off the board....

whats the advantage in going to the west division???? just to say your there??? if no signifigance....then your giving the lower teams a pass to make playoffs and the bteere teams will miss out.
