Its the best anti tanking measure there is, for leagues that are concerned about it.

Our leagues are some of those that are and we would love to see it as an option. Do you have any plans of adding this feature?

Ive asked about half dozen questions over the last 6 months and gotten no help from the platforms mods. Do they exist? Who do i tag?

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking about. If you mean optimum points which shows the best possible score a team could have had each week it's already there for you to view if you wanted to use it for your league. You have to do it manually though. On the league home page where the standings are shown click where it says "Leaders" above the standings then just go all the way over to the right in list and it says Optimum PF (points for). You can then see how many total points the tanking team should have scored if they played the right lineup every week. It's not always the best way to go because sometimes your stars have dud games the same week your backup has a career game. Or some people are stacked at some positions and can't play them all and have to choose which one not to play and can end up picking the wrong one every week. But it's easy to tell who's really tanking and who isn't.

The function basically orders the non playoff teams draft order based on the optimum points for automatically. Its not perfect but if the idea is fairness, the literal worst team would get the highest draft pick and so on, so whether or not youre tanking, your team has to actually be bad. No hiding points on your bench.

True but like I said sometimes a team has Mahomes and Fitzpatrick as their QBs and Mahomes has a bad game like he did vs TB in the Super Bowl and Fitzpatrixk has one of his magical games and scores 3X as many points then the system says you idiot you played the wrong QB this week. Or you have McCaffrey Henry and Cook as your RBs and can only play 2 of them each game there's gonna be plenty of times where the one you leave on bench outscores the other 2 maybe every week which will make your optimum points higher. It's a nice method but not always 100% effective. But it's easy to tell who is actually tanking like I said also. most of the time optimum points are because owners will intentionally play the lower ranked player but sometimes it's just due to bad luck having great depth and not knowing who to play every week.

That's an interesting one. Unfortunately it seems like it would just incentivize bad teams to be bad in a different way, i.e. don't work the waiver wire, dump players that you aren't going to keep for next year but that are producing at the moment, etc. Don't think I'd be a fan personally, but I understand the possible benefit of having it as a feature.

Unfortunately/amazingly, the whole Fleaflicker.com team seems to be... uh, gone, so I wouldn't expect any new features anytime soon. Kinda worried tbh.

My push back to your argument would be that bad teams cant ever get good if they did what youre suggesting they would do.

They would need to punt an entire year , and then acquire a ton of picks or FA's and hit on the majority of them to be competitive the following year, and that is super hard to do. Way more likely that punting all the depth off of their roster to purge points wont help either really, because keeping good players and benching them, they still get penalized for that. So they would have to literally dump the entirety of their good players, and hope to hit on every pick and grab every reasonable FA off the wire to .... finish in the middle? *shrug*

Really just not worth it to even try IMO, and if they still want to donate every year, that would be fine with me

I guess that is true; I revise my commentary: This rule's efficacy would scale up/down depending on how much of each team's roster is kept. If each team has 15 roster spots and you keep 12 then yeah, this effectively guards against tanking. But if you have 15 and only keep 4/5, then once a team is out of the playoff picture they could just decide 'okay, these are my four studs', then try to have a fire sale for the midrange guys.
