You can play an injured player in a flex slot, and you get his avg weekly score edited into your box score. Players need 2 games worth of stats to qualify. You just cant use an injured player on his bye week. If your stud goes down in week 3, your still OK, and as long as he had 2 good games, you keep getting his points.
