For very active mangers only. We had a manager, who likes to join and leave leagues willy-nilly. Looking for an owner who can commit.
> We each lose a player to the player pool each week. We are allowed to use keeper tags to protect some, and we can also protect players if they can fit on taxi or IR. Then the player with the highest total points who is not protected, is lost to the player pool. We call that "an arrest".
> This needs to be done by tuesday night. The we use waivers to get them back, or try to get a better player. There are many different strategies to this, and we are happy to explain it and help you understand the nuances to this.
> Each weeks waiver claims are resolved a little bit later in the week to give everyone time to set protected players, for the person i charge of arrests to do their job, and for everyone to get in claims. So thursday night players are very tricky. So don't count on claiming a player and being able to use them on thursday night football, we have to simply plan ahead and work around that.
> Claims are limited, so everyone has to be careful about making either too many, or too few claims. It's a real brain teaser.
> But all of that means that if you are not real active, you will get left behind. But it is a great group of people, Lots of chat, and friendly trash talk.
> If your roster gets week due to injuries, bye weeks, etc - there is a good way to catch up if you can manage these arrests wisely.
> Every spring, right after activation, claims are allowed. So we keep busy all year.
> We will NOT let any new member screw up due to lack of being used to this system. You will have a grace period of a couple weeks to get to know the system. If you make a mistake, and look to lose a real good player, we will fix it for you.
> All we need is a new manager who will not leave the moment they have a losing record.
> Join, check it out, ask questions. If you decide it is not for you, do not quit - we will remove you so that you do not get a red flag. Just give it a try. Good people, and a climate for developing many different strategies.
---------
People with red flags will be removed though. We get too many people who just see an opening, and join without reading any of the stuff I just mentioned. Even people new to fantasy will be welcomed if you can at least commit to staying all year once we show you the ropes.
---------
We would love it if you are open to taking over some of his other rosters in my leagues as well. We are looking to replace him in many leagues. All my leagues have different "twists" and these spots are perfect for anyone whop is tired of "normal, cookie-cutter" leagues.
