Remember the old days of Fantasy Football? Before the internet? Yeah you had to do a lot of paperwork to keep track of scores and rosters. But you were able to make all your own rules and create a league your way not have to settle with only options available on this site or that site and decide which option(s) to go without. Well I've come up with the solution. I'm going to do a league and add in options not available on FF by doing it myself. I'm going to add home team advantage, double header weeks, and a multi-week championship round.

How you ask? I am going to create a hand written head to head schedule myself and keep track of the standings by hand and post them each week on the site. The league format will be set to total points instead of head to head so there will be no schedule generated. Each owner will still pick their starters each week and there will be live scoring done on the site. You will then go by the hand written schedule to see what team(s) you are playing that week and just compare those scores to see if you win or lose. I will post the standings each week based on those scores.

There will be 8 teams separated into 2 4 team divisions. The regular season will be 13 weeks long. There will be 7 double-header weeks totaling 20 regular season games. You will play your 3 div opps 4 times each 2 home 2 away. You will play the 4 non div opps each twice 1 home 1 away. So 10 home games 10 away games. The home team advantage will be 5 points. The double-header weeks will be on weeks 1-5 week 8 & week 13. During those weeks there are either no NFL teams on byes or only 2 teams on byes.

The top 2 teams in each division will make the playoffs. The division winner will get the 5 home pts in 1st round game vs the #2 team in each division during week 14. The winners of each game will play each other in weeks 15-17 in a 3 week best-of-3 Championship series. The higher seed of the 2 remaining teams will get the 5 home pts in week 15 and 17 (if necessary) the lower seed will get the 5 home pts in week 16.

So that's how it's going to work. Everything will still be run on site except the schedule and standings. We will do the draft offline as well and enter the results on site after. We will all meet online in a Groupme chat and do the draft. It will be like a live draft but without a timer being rushed to make a pick in 90 seconds or less. You will be able to study and decide who to pick with no time limit but pick in minutes not hours or days like an email draft. It will be an experimental thing but I think it will work and will be something different and could be fun.
