OK, let's analyze this from both sides. He gets a #1 RB, which he doesn't have, and he still has Manning as his QB. You get a #1 QB, which you don't have, and you still have a #1 RB. From his perspective, it's a no-brainer. From yours, you have to decide if what you lose going from Slaton to Thomas is less than what you gain from Ryan to Brees. Based on last year's numbers, I would say make the trade. The only what-ifs are whether you think Thomas is injury prone and if you think New Orleans will throw as much as they did last year.
Are you Serious? No offense to the person who is offering you Brees for Slaton, but he or she is not very smart to even consider this mistake of a trade. If I had Drew Brees and Payton Manning as my 2 QB's...I would be smiling my azz off!!!
I would have "pulled the trigger" the second this trade was offered to me. You would than have Drew Brees and Matt Ryan, which would still have me smiling my azz off!!!

Redraft league. I have been offered Brees for Slaton. We are in the same division.
My draft order went D. Williams, S. Slaton, Pierre Thomas, A. Gates, Matt Ryan, Roy Williams, H. Ward.
His draft order went Brees, P. Manning, Ray Rice, Braylon Edwards, Beanie Wells, Ahmad Bradshaw, Devin Hester, LeShon McCoy.
