Not sure who I should start at flex... Bush who plays Vikings... Wes welker who plays Cincinnati.... or Felix jones who plays redskins.... Could use some input plz???
As u say its about points an Welker has outscored how many rb's the past couple years. As I said welker had 162 in fantasy points in standard scoring leagues. So 162 in standard scoring leagues made him the #31 player overall in scoring.Hows that make him a ppr guy.Sure he had more points in ppr.But being the 31 overall best scorer in standard leagues made him the #12 overall wr.That is wr #1 status.Jones has been injured to.With Barber's running style if they reduce his carries some he may return to form an be the starter.Jones seems fragile to me an i dont see him as a every down back.An u can laugh at choice but he does get some carries.Plus the Dallas run game this preseason has been very bad.I'm not saying Jones wont be a good fantasy guy.I just dont see it.If u go by the rankings or draft position on this site cincys d isnt all that high on the list.I know they did good last year>I picked them up in a league off waivers. But they r a young d an that was there first descent d in awhile.
pro-football-reference.com I was going off of this sites lists. They say standard scoring. But u r right the Flea eligible scoring is a bit different.Im guessing.I use Pro-football-refernce just for looking at ff stats as u can go back for years. Its a useful tool Imo.
even a dallas hater like me knows felix is in line barber has never returned to 08 form, fantasy is about points not tds, no matter how you get them, but to get the point you have to touch the ball, felix is going to get touches and with a 10 per carry average, its nice to know, he's projected to get 200+ touches this year, this is a flex spot and bush yes he could but he is the definition of injury and choice ahahah. were are talking upside not bull@@@@. If you were these players who would want to play minn? Cinn/ Or washingtons 2 month old new defense that the best df tackle doesn"t want to play in. Hey it did sound crazy and welker is a ppr guy not a starter in standard leagues at leat wait a week before starting him, and since when do we start flex wr over a rb? rbs touch the ball. its upside upside upside good luck ff 5th in the world rankings 09
I know this might sound crazy, but I think I might go with Bush out of those 3 because of the match up. The Saints and Vikings should put up a lot of points and the Saints always spread the ball around. I think Bush could very well see the end zone twice in that game. Welker does get a lot of passes thrown his way but we all know most fantasy scoring is all about TD's and he doesn't get a ton of those. He has only had 7 over the past 2 years. Same thing with F.Jones. Red zone carries should go to Barber and Choice before Jones.
True. But as for welker he makes up for it in yards. Also if there is a catch bonus of any sort thats a bonus.Welker was the #12 overall wr in ff points last year with 162 tied with colston for #31 ff points overall. The year b4 that with cassel welker had 137.Bush had 121 jones 98 last year.If Welker can even put up 130 some he is a #2 wr at worst. But yeah his td's r low if he had more td's hed be insane in ff.An trust me im no N.E. Fan but he is good
This is very true as well. It is always kinda hard to give a detailed opinion without knowing the league scoring. I definitely think the argument here is between Bush and Welker, not Jones.
But the way my luck goes most times, Jones will set a new single season game rushing record and score 5 TD's.... LOL
name 1 relevent starter to comeback from acl mcl surgery and produce decent fantasy points.Hmmmmmmmmmmm now that its 1 in a million. If my defense was playing week 1 i'd be sure to have them test that knee, with some legal tackles, 1 small hit to that knee will have him swelling and then draining and then watch J edelman, take over oh and he is hungry. Remember the Cowboys are vanilla in pre-season so felix is your logical starter and uh the boys need to show they can run before romo gets to throw. goodluck steakwith ff 5th in the world rankings 09
yes go with a guy in a 3 way time share.Who u dont know how many carries he gets since he is in a 3 way rbbc. Also F.jones the model of being injury free.Right??Welker looks good to go.It may be a risk but im goimg with a guy who is a major part of the offense until proven he cant do it.If he was worried about Welker y draft him.Has jones ever put up close to welkers #'s??Also I guess no 1 was thinking test welkers knee in the prseason.

Your numbers are a bit off (based upon flea-eligible scoring, which is the standard here), but your argument is spot on.
Welker's numbers -
185.4 points. Number 9 WR and number 52 overall.
Keep in mind, he missed weeks 2 and 3 and got hurt in week 17. He was ranked that high in a non-ppr league and only really played 13 games.
Felix's numbers -
97.4 points. Number 40 overall RB and number 204 overall.
Felix did miss weeks 4 and 5, but played 14 games.
So, who would you rather have start, a guy who averages about 7 points per game or a guy who averages over 14 a game?

Either way, your numbers plus the flea numbers clearly show Welker is a better option than Jones.

Agreed.

Edelman (undisclosed injury) was not at Monday's practice, ESPN's Mike Reiss reports.Missed that 2
