There are some (probably) unique scoring rules that incentivize efficient players whose teams are better when they're on the floor. There a number of negatives for players who are turnover prone, can't make foul shots, miss ten or more field goals in a game or routinely receive techs etc. Bonus points awarded for double and triple-doubles, high +/- and high productivity.
