I know this topic is under help and support but.....
We have been drafting for a month now! Some guys have 30 teams already! I myself have about 10-12 and in those leagues I drafted Utley and Kinsler and made it a point to draft a decent 2B, in most of those leagues I waited to grab Gordon Beckham as MY ONLY 3B!!! Now, just because Flea hears reports about guys like Melvin Mora playing 3B/SS/2B they go and make him position eligible because the Rockies have SAID he was gonna play there????? On Beckhams little square thingy they have THIRD BASEMEN TIERS and HE IS ON IT!!! WHY THE **** are they making him 2B eligible ONLY, BEFORE THE SEASON STARTS!!!!?????? They're backwords, the position eligibility ON EVERY SINGLE FANTASY SITE goes by where they played last year and then, WHEN THEY HAVE PLAYED ENOUGH GAMES THERE THIS YEAR, THEY THEN AND ONLY THEN, BECOME ELIGIBLE THERE!!!
I hope they do something about maximum transactions in a week! Keep it daily, the matchup runs for the week, gotta do something about the streaming... PLEASE!
Ive been preaching like a mofo in the forums to get limits, really for over a year now..And still nothing..
I just dont understand why this simple fix is such a hard thing to install into the flea system..Is it because flea promotes streaming everyday with their stupid stream team atricles from fanhouse and they gotta pay him money? Honestly I cant think of anything else it could be..
Yes, that must be it! You'll visit the site at least once a day if you stream. I might just make it an agreement amongst owners in each of my leagues to a limit and if not adhered to, players will be put back in Free Agent pool and that owner may be removed if he ignores the rules a couple of times
We tried a transaction limit of 10 limits in some of my leagues for the playoffs and I gotta admit it worked out or at least better then I thought it would...We posted messages on the league board whenever we made a transaction, more or less just made the message board a transaction limit board, the board got messy but it worked for those willing to abide by the rule.
But I dont know if im willing to do that for 22 regular season weeks..I commish 10 12 team leagues, thats 120 teams I have to manually keep tract of and I dont have comp access at work...Talk about a time consuming pain in the ass..
It just blows we have to stoop to this level, transaction limits shouldve been implemented to begin with and its just fkn mind boggeling its still not an option..
Yeah, 10 for the week..If somebody went over 10, instead of dishing out a penalty for that owner who went over the limit we would tell him he had to stop there and his opponent would get to match that limit..So if somebody had 11 transactions then it was only fair for his opponent to get 11, etc, etc or if that owner was a stand up guy he would just bench that 11th transaction.
But I only tried this in a couple of leagues, I dont know how this wouldve worked in all of my leagues, some leagues had more intense streamers than others..And this was just for the playoffs, just in my opinion I dont think this would work for 22 regular season weeks just seems like too long of a period to ask owners to play nice, lol..
Personally I would prefer to have them establish the positions now and then add eligibility as the season progresses if earned rather than have them take away positions during the season. If Beckham doesn't play any 3B this year then why should he be eligible for the position? Should they take away that eligibility after two weeks if he doesn't play there? Maybe two months? Would it not be better to have them remove excess eligibility prior to the season rather than mid-season?
Who cares what they did last year? Cuddyer of the Twins only played 1B last year because Morneau was hurt and the other backup was too. He probably won't play a single game at 1B this year, so why should he be eligible for the position? Last year was last year.
I agree that the position flipping is annoying, but better to get it done early that later. Plus, drafting 30 teams over a month before the season starts is, in my opinion, kind of foolish. Things are bound to change.
That's neither here nor there, that's Newt's personal preference, he had an itch he needed scratched!? LoL The point is, why allow us to draft guys at a certain position for 6 weeks and then take that position eligibility away and make it something different before the guy has played 10 games there. At least make them eligible at both until they become that other position eligible, right?
Some people drafted players for a certain position and thought that position had a player. Now you are changing their eligibility? Come on! Please return their previous eligibility. By changing eligibility, you are changing rules after people have drafted and everybody knows that you can't change rules After a draft.
Yeah this is absolutely awful on their part. I love fleaflicker but this was so stupid. Now i have no 1st basemen on my team and the only one that was available that will be a starter is Matt LaPorta. Who ironically won't even be playing 1st base to start the season he will probably be in left field since the Indians signed Branyan. They need to change positions back ASAP

And I dont know if 10 is the golden transaction number but just from checking espn and yahoo leagues it seems like 10 is the number of choice.

sounds good, the league would join in in the policing

A resounding 3-1 on just here alone, with this sample size we can assume at least 75% agree!!!
