Aaron Hill 2b- Blue Jays second baseman Aaron Hill took a big step forward in his return from a right quadriceps injury on Tuesday when he successfully went through a series of running tests.
Ryan Zimmerman 3b- Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman was scheduled to be in the starting lineup against the Mets on Tuesday night, but manager Jim Riggleman informed the media that he would not play because of injury. Zimmerman will be out of action for at least five days because of a groin strain. The Nationals didn't clarify how Zimmerman injured himself.
Andrew Bailey RP- The A's were able to breathe a sigh of relief on Tuesday, as All-Star closer Andrew Bailey was diagnosed with only a strained right forearm by Dr. James Andrews in his visit to the noted orthopedic surgeon in Birmingham, Ala.
Micheal Stanton RF- Marlins right fielder Mike Stanton continues to be day-to-day with a strained right quad, but he may not be game ready for Opening Day.
Rich Harden P- Rich Harden's return to the mound was delayed yet again on Monday, when manager Bob Geren announced that the righty was expected to see a doctor in the morning.
Nate Robertson P- Veteran left-hander Nate Robertson will have arthroscopic surgery on his left elbow Wednesday and be out for at least four weeks, the Mariners announced Monday.
