This league was designed to try and fit the mold as 'real' as possible in the >fantasy world< if you will….of a true Owner/GM/Manager situations. Either Sustaining current talent/success attempting to transition to younger talent or rebuild or push a team to success from how rosters are built today.
All the Team Rosters are set ‘to-the-tee’ as they currently stand. Team names and logos will stay consistent. Don't feel like you will be behind with a team like Cubs vs the Dodgers, you can rebuild through the draft, good decisions on keepers applying to veterans or future talent. The main reason that the talent should be evenly distributed after the draft is that only 24 MLB teams could be fit into the largest Flea league format. Therefore the bottom 6 teams were removed from each division automatically adding their best players and medium value players to the draft and Free agent listings.
What this will create in the 1st year of the league, if you are unable to break away from the rosters as they stand now is keeping up with the daily starting/batting lineups of the actual MLB team you have in order to maximize your rosters points. Obviously this… after a while would get somewhat tiring, so the goal is sort of incentive to break away from the rosters with moves, trades etc. But maybe not, if you feel like you can have success.
**Here are some differences with this league that you should know before joining**
#1 - This is constructed to feed the rabid fantasy or fantasy baseball fans looking for a SABR (o&pWAR) outlook on the scoring. What this does is remove the ability of the causal flea user/fantasy users to lean heavily on the Flea given ultimate stat which is - Fantasy Points (FT pts, avg). This will force and invite a little more in depth research in order to improve your team. Below are some links on which I based the scoring format after with some influence into discussions on overall offensive WAR value, or overall pitching WAR Value. The decimal value is used to make this all work like mentioned above. Mainly the scoring is supposed to simulate how many Wins the player is responsible for getting his team a year. As well as in microscope (decimals) what percentage of the game did he affect in positively offensively or by pitching.

#2 - Another main differences with this league will be the Roster sizes. They will be based off of MLB rules/regs. 40 man roster, but only 25 active at a time. What this does is gives you a nice 15 DL spot that can feel somewhat like an unlimited storage place for your own in depth mlb-prospect research if you play it smart for future building. Or you can just to add depth for the existing ones you start out with and the ones you acquire as the League continues to evolve from its original rosters. I added as much as I could from the Top 10 Prospects to each team ( as many as there where listed within Flea), it is up to you if you want to invest in them in, keep them for future trades or production. Here is the list for each team’s Top Prospects.

Remember that there are 6 teams’ prospects that are not owned and will be available for Draft. Blue Jays, Twins, Astros, Marlins, Brewers, Padres
#3 – The most important difference in my mind with this league and others is that you can only post 1 starting pitcher a day. This forces the concept of a 5 man rotation which most of you should fall right into that luxury with actual team rosters already built that way in terms of ‘taking turns’. But you will need to keep that in mind before you go after aces, #1s and #2s, think about if they fit on your team in terms of starting days and spots in rotation.
On top of that I added and re-arranged minimum and maximum Roster rules for further challenges and opportunity for strategy. Obviously these roster requirements are only applied to the active 25. So the DL 15 (AAA , AA) , which has no injury restriction and allows every health status can come in handy when shuffling the minimum and maximums.
For instance,
C 2-5
1B 2-5
2B 2-5
SS 2-5
3B 2-5
LF 2-5
CF 2-5
RF 2-5
DH 15
SP 4-6
RP 3-4
DL 15
The idea for this league is to challenge the really good Fantasy baseball players on Flea to a further extent. I know there are a lot of good players on this site. Please join if you are interested.
