Can someone provide insight on when waivers run? I'm seeing with some specific guys that it is not actually 24 or 48 hrs (whichever the setting is). It's looking like it is sometimes as much as 56-57 hrs for some dropped players. Just wanting to know how this works. Thanks.

Thanks. One more question - why is there a period of players finishing their waiver time where they are "Locked"? Is that actually system processing time or is there a reason waivers don't just process instantaneously at each 4 hour mark?

The only valid time to submit a claim is the 24 hours immediately after he's dropped. After that the player is locked until our system has a chance to processes his claims.

We don't want to give owners extra time just because our system is implemented a certain way.

Right it's not exactly 24 or 48 hours, it's at least that long.

We process claims every four hours, starting at midnight Eastern so the times are midnight, 4 AM, 8 AM, noon, etc.

We'll process your as soon as 24 hours elapse after the drop (or 48 depending on league settings).

How does this work with the "lock recently added" feature?

Suppose I have 48 hour waivers. Suppose I added a free agent this week. When can I still drop him---exactly 48 hours before his kickoff? Or does it have something to do with those 4am/8am/noon processing periods?

You can drop him before the processing time.

So for 1 PM Sunday kickoff it would be noon on Friday.

Otherwise you could game the system by locking that player for the week--he wouldn't be claimable until after his locking time for the week.
