The site is allowing Travis Hunter to be played as an IDP. Our league has 1 defensive player. However - since hunter goes both ways - and is a starting WR, it is allowing someone to play him as an IDP.

Will he get receptions and yards when played as an IDP?

If so - that seems pretty unfair, that’s like getting an extra WR.

Thoughts?

It depends on your rules. Right now your league awards receiving points to everyone so yes, Hunter will get receiving points when started in the IDP slot.

If you don't want that, you can edit your scoring rules so they only apply to WR/TE/RB and not ALL. This way, owners would have to start Hunter at the WR slot to get receiving points.

Multi-position eligibility

May 2, 2025

Travis Hunter has WR/CB eligibility this season and IDP leagues can control how he's scored.

Our approach with Hunter is the same as Ohtani in baseball:

  • Scoring rules that apply to DBs will only be applied when a manager starts Hunter in a DB-eligible slot
  • Scoring rules that apply to WRs will only be applied when a manager starts Hunter in a WR-eligible slot

Our default defensive scoring rules apply to everyone and Hunter gets both offensive and defensive points.

To change this, edit scoring and configure the "Apply To" setting for each scoring rule.

Learn how commissioners can configure scoring so that he doesn't have an unfair advantage over other defensive backs.
