Hello, I emailed the support from the help page a couple times last week and am yet to hear back, so I'm hoping someone sees this here.

I'm a commissioner of a league. I have an owner in the league who lost complete access to his email, so he can now not even log onto the site because there is no working email connected with his account.

Is there a way that I, or an admin, could switch the email for his account to an alternate one that he has access to, so that he can resume playing in our league before this weekend?

So kick him out of the league and invite him to takeover the team through his alternative email. This isn't rocket science.

Would love to be able to keep the account with its history, but if there's no other option, perhaps.

If he takes over the same team, the entire history will be intact.

I can change my account's email if I wanted, but if he can't log on to do so, then there doesn't seem another choice, but to take over the team on a new account.

I am in total agreement with you. Hopefully the dude followed your advice. My point was about his concern on the team history. There should be no concern about that. The team history will remain no matter who owns it.
