Last season I ran my own draft and imported the rosters.

This year I want to hold a draft party, but not everyone can attend.

Will the draft software allow me to enter the picks for everyone who is at the party, but let people who are not there enter their own picks over the internet?

Or does everyone have to enter their own picks?

The mock is working okay, have you updated your java?

What browser are you using?

Thank you all for the useful information. It looks like the email draft will give me the control I need, and allow people to participate remotely.

If I use the email draft option for this, can players use pre-ranking and autodraft? That would be useful in case someone can't participate live.

Thanks again.

No problem. If you use the e-mail draft, players can use their pre-draft rankings. If you go to the players tab, players will see their list of who is ranked where and if they have been chosen or not. The players will then disappear as they are drafted.

So if they can't participate live, and they are logged in at the same time you are choosing for players, all they have to do is go to the players page, sort by "My rankings" and then they will see who was picked when and can just click draft to take the next available person they want.

Unfortunately, even though you can pick for them, if a user is not at the draft, you can't see their automated rankings as commissioner. So if they are unable to attend that day, I would suggest they just e-mail you their list of players and rankings.

Thanks.

What I was hoping is that the computer could automatically pick according to their pre-ranking. Does it do that, at least once their pick times out? Or is there no time limit on these email picks?

If the system would draft according to their pre-rankings then I wouldn't have to mess around with reading their list of players and drafting their team.

If not, we'll manage with the suggestions here. Thanks.

In a live draft, it will draft for them according to their rankings. If they are absent, the pick will go off for them within 5 seconds. So long as you run a live draft (not an e-mail one) it will pick for them. If you run the e-mail draft, it will not pick for them based on the rankings.

You have a few options here...

1) Like Dark said, you can do this for your whole league as an e-mail draft and commish choose

2) However, if each owner wants to bring their own laptop and connect via wireless, they can do that too through a live draft.

3) Also, and this probably answers you most directly, you all can connect through one computer and share; we support multiple users using the same computer for the live draft, just make sure you set the draft time to a time close to the max amount to make a pick - 4 minutes - to allow for users to hop on a computer. If you choose this option, open the live draft room in a new window on one account -> then "sign out" of the fleaflicker window on that account, but leave the draft room window open, then -> sign back in under the new owner's name in fleaflicker, go to the draft tab, and open the live draft in another window too (in the same fashion you did with the first team) -> keep doing this for multiple users over and over again. The only problem here is that if you have a computer problem on that one computer (internet loss, frozen computer, etc) your draft is pretty much kaput, even though you can clear rosters and always redraft. You will definitely want to do a mock draft days before the real draft to ensure this works well on your computer and you understand how to do this. If you do it correctly, you can definitely all share a computer and it is a real cool feature/process.

E-mail draft might be the safest option, but you still have this live option if you want to use the live draft software.

To word option 3 most succinctly, multiple owners can share the same computer. Launch the draft window as the first owner, then sign out and launch the draft window as the second owner. Keep repeating this process to allow for all users to share one computer.

Can you do the same thing if you have multiple drafts at the same time in different leagues?

rangerdave Sat 5/1/10 8:34 PM

I believe that you can.

scotto1959 Sat 5/1/10 9:33 PM

I was thinking of joining leagues with two diff teams this year thereby improving my chances of 1 team winning the trophy. You know, take the best players drafted of the 2 teams and make 1 really good one.

McBain Sun 5/2/10 11:25 AM

Is this a joke? "take the best players drafted of the 2 teams and make 1 really good one." There's a word for that.

Cheating.

scotto1959 Mon 5/3/10 11:37 AM

scotto1959 Mon 5/3/10 8:06 PM

FleaMod Admin Sun 5/2/10 5:23 PM

Yes, you can

DARKSEID Sat 5/1/10 2:19 PM

The e-mail draft will allow you to do that.
