This is my first time ever being a commish in a dynasty league.

Currently I have it set as keeper at 20 keepers. Is there a way to change this so the rosters are automatically kept? What happens to draft at that point? Will they pick a player and be forced to drop one if at 20 or will they not be able to draft after they have 20? Currently, if you keep 17, you only have 3 draft picks.

Not sure which option to go with...

These are complete rosters for this season

These are the keepers only (for all teams)

These are complete rosters but still draft this season

I’m new to running a Fleaflicker dynasty league. I want to know how to up keepers from 15 to 30?

Hello!

If you choose "These are the keepers only (for all teams" -- that will set every player on every team as a keeper. This would be a good way for you to opt all players in as keepers across the board. If you have teams that have extra players on the IR, you (or they) might need to reduce their roster size before you can set all of the keepers.

Whether or not you draft is up to you. I'd be happy to help you set it up if that's what you'd like to do. Here are some options for you to consider:

- Set all current players as keepers and keep the player pool closed until a set time

- Set all current players as keepers and open the player pool to free agency (first come first served)

- Set all current players as keepers and open the player pool with your waiver system running

- Set keepers and have each team reduce a few players so you can have a small rookie draft

- Set keepers and increase the roster size temporarily to have a small rookie draft

Let me know what direction you want to go in and I'll be happy to provide you with the steps!

I have advised people to get their rosters down to 20 ASAP.

I want everyone to have their 20 (or less if they choose) players then have a small rookie draft - 6 rds. I figure some people may pass when we get to later rounds. If they draft a guy and do not have an open spot, they have to drop a guy. I've done live drafts like that before. I assume that is not an option.

I'd like to set the entire rosters as keepers, temporarily increase roster size (by 6) to have small rookie/FA draft, and waivers would open immediately after the draft.

I am in a similar position as NWABCS. Does fleaflicker support a rookie only draft? Or will our draft have to be offline?

ANY updates?

Our draft tool will only go as many rounds as needed to fill an owner's roster. There won't be extra picks, and if a cut is made during the draft, the live draft tool won't update -- it's locked and will reflect what was in the roster just prior to the start of the draft. If you want to have the type of flexibility you described where an owner could decide to grab an extra pick in return for a cut player in a late round, you probably want to do your draft offline and import the rosters afterwards as the tool won't accommodate that.

To set the entire existing rosters as keepers, go to League Settings > Edit Rosters and choose "These are the keepers (for all teams)" in the bottom Keeper Options section and click Save. You will get an alert if any teams are over the keeper max.

After that, you can go to League Settings > Edit Roster Requirements to increase the roster size by 6 for your 6 round draft. At this point you can schedule your draft or hold it offline and import the players using Edit Rosters.

The player pool will open up after the draft is completed. To have your waiver system running, make sure you set the "Lock Free Agents During Preseason" setting to Yes under League Settings > Edit Transaction Rules.

Joshday -- this forum post (fleaflicker.com) can provide you with instructions with setting up a rookie draft in a keeper league. If these don't work for your specific league, please reach out to us directly using the Contact Us form and we'll be happy to give you specific directions.

Some players have 19, others have 20. Not everyone has an even number of draft picks in first few rounds.

I still want to do a 6 round mock.

If the draft technically has to go to 9th rd so everyone can get up to 26 players, am I able to end the draft early? I can't remember if I had this option last year.

Also, what if someone wants to pass? Do I as commish have that option or would I just have to give them a random player to then move on to next person?

Last year, my league voted to make it mandatory that you keep 19 players from our 29 man rosters. This was decided to make it easier and more automatic on draft night and allow us to do it online. The problem I have is there have been trades made for specific draft picks that will effect this years draft. If I change the draft to 10 rounds and everyone has their keepers set prior to draft, will the system just transfer those trades to the new first round (actually the 20th round?
