Per NFL official site: Drive Summary shows the following - Scoring Play: J.Hurts FUMBLES (Aborted) at BAL 1, and recovers at BAL 1. J.Hurts for 1 yard, TOUCHDOWN. Yet in the official GameBook pdf shows it as a J Hurts 1 yard run. So this is confusing. Our league does not award points for a fumble recovery / TD. What is the NFL's official scoring on this play?

Thank you!

The fumble occurred outside of the endzone and Hurts picked up the fumble and carried the ball into the endzone for a touchdown. It is scored as a rushing touchdown.

Here is a scoring play from week 2, LA Rams vs. Arizona. Arizona possesses the football. Ball is fumbled at the Rams 5 yard line, ball moves into the endzone and recovered IN the endzone. The (-2) refers to two yards deep in the endzone as the location of the recovery.

Scoring Play: (Shotgun) J.Conner left end to LAR 5 for 2 yards (J.Verse). FUMBLES (J.Verse), recovered by ARI-T.McBride at LAR -2. TOUCHDOWN.

Jets29 - thank you for your response. Week 2 Scoring Summary (NFL.com) shows a fumble recovery by T McBride. However, he was not awarded any points in our league (according to our scoring system) other than the 6.7 points he received for your 67 yards that game. Having said that, it was Connor's fumble that he recovered and maybe that's why he didnt get any TD points? In the game with Hurts, he recovered his own fumble for the TD. I'm not sure if that makes a difference. In our league/system, points are NOT awarded for fumble recoveries for a TD. He is currently getting the points because the scoring play according to the official NFL Gamebook is a 1 yard TD run. I do understand that corrections get made so I will be checking later this week.
