In our 10-man league, the team in 9th played the team in 10th during week 1 of the playoffs, and the team that won advanced in the consolation bracket, yet, has #10 by his name, rather than #9. Consequently, the losing team, our Turd of Turds, has #9. I think this will mess with our draft next year. Help please?
The consolation bracket doesn't have a bearing on the draft order for the next season -- the only teams impacted by the playoff results is the first and second place teams. You should be able to look at the Picks tab on your 10th place team's Team page and see that they still have the first pick of the draft.
Newly established leagues will have their draft order randomly generated. For redraft and keeper leagues from the previous year, the draft order is determined by last season's worst-to-first record from the regular season with two exceptions—the last team to draft is the league's champion, and the second-to-last team to draft is the runner-up of the league.
Commissioners can edit the draft order after their league fills up. To edit the draft order immediately, create placeholder teams until your league is full: League » Settings » Create a New Team.
Just to be sure, when the playoffs are done, I can manually adjust draft order according to our league's rules (draft order = inverse order of playoff standing)?
I wish I would have known this before I joined this site. We use finishing order from the playoffs. I'm very disappointed this isn't even an option. I guess it's on me though but I'll be moving my league else where.

Why leave? You can manually adjust draft order once the new league year begins in February. Just be patient.

BCFL -- yes, you can manually adjust the draft order when the new season opens after the Super Bowl.
HeyMattK -- you can customize the draft order to fit with your league's rules.
