Are these options available?

Best Ball- You never touch your roster and the highest scoring players are used to compute your score. For example you would carry two or three QBs and the highest score would be your QB score.

Playing every team every week- so in a twelve team league if you had the lowest score you would go 0-11.

I'd like the play every team option. Somehow, one of my teams is 1-2, and has scored the most points in the league (lol)

if these features would be added it would amount to my personal fantasy football heaven. i would actually have a hard time selling "best ball" to my league, but i would love the opportunity to give it a shot.

This would be great for me too. I'm in a league just like that and the only place we've found the option is MyFantasyLeague.com. The option there is, "Instead of submitting starting lineups, starting lineups are automatically determined by the system based on the best-scoring players on a franchise roster." And in the old FFLM program they called it "score by potential points" or something like that.

Would like to revisit this as I am in a couple of best ball leagues this year and with the message board I use we are talking about starting 6-12 best ball leagues next year adn are hoping to do it on Flea.

Any chance of instituting a best ball system instead of having to manually change it?

Interesting, didn't realize this type of game was that popular. Will check out the work that this would entail.

I care about seeing an "every team every week" option. I've found it to be favored in terms of fairness to losing teams.

For instance, say you had a great week and scored 2nd highest in points overall, but unfortunately your head-to-head opponent that week scored the highest overall, giving you an "L". In an "every team every week" system, you opponent would be 10-0 for the week, and you'd be 9-1.

9-1 is far better than 0-1 for having a great game, and it stops owners whining about "If I'd have played anyone else I'd have won."

Any more info on this, Doug? As I said, I'd love to move our other league over here...

David_Howard Mon 6/6/11 9:04 AM

Hey Doug, I'm resurrecting this thread (hopefully) because if the NFL ever gets its act together, I would love to move my other league over here. In terms of "what it would take", the current site I use calls this option, "Score by Potential Points". You already show us the potential points we could have gotten, so maybe it's not that terrible to have a flag we can set and use that instead of lineup points.

Anyway, please let us know what's up...

Thanks,

David

I would absolutely love for Fleaflicker to support "best ball".

We like doing best ball draft leagues as a "warm-up" leading up to the season. We can draft in June, have a good time, and let that league run its course through the season. It's a nice little "bonus" low-maintenance game.

Best Ball I haven't heard of before but the other one sounds like a Total Points option. A lot of sites use the Total Points system over Head-to-head or offer both. Right now neither is offered.
