Does the 2 point conversion count as a reception in the box score?

Thank you for the response. We do have it set up so that the player that catches the pass gets 2 points. The question that arose was that Vernon Davis with credited with 4 receptions for 78 yards in the stats. They did not credit him with a reception for his 2 point conversion reception. That would have given him 5 receptions. Is that standard for the published stats to not credit the player with an additional reception?

For once this is not fleas fault, just go in and edit the box score of the team with Davis.

Yes, that's standard the 2-pt conv is not credited as an official reception in an NFL box

I am pretty sure that 2 point conversions do not count for any stat category besides points. Attempts don't count as receptions, rushes or pass attempts and the yardage involved also is not counted. 4 catches is the right stat line for Davis.

No, not officially, but most leagues have default rules to give him +2, check the scoring rules but 2-pt conversions are not an official box stat but are usually given fantasy pts depending on your league scoring

They credited Vernon Davis with 4 receptions for 78 yards. They did not credit him with a reception for the 2 point conversion. That would have given him 5 receptions.

I would think that if a team got a 2 point conversion by a reception then yes and if a team got a 2 point conversion by rushing then it would be scored to the rusher.
