I need to move him to the IR, as he will be out at lease a month, but I cannot currently since according to FF he's just "out". He is on the IR in real life. When will I be able to change his status??
IR in hockey can mean out a week or so. The IR distinction in hockey is not like the NFL where it's for the season.
In hockey you have: Healthy, Day-to-Day, Out, Suspended, IR.
Healthy is a player with full health, Day-to-Day means that they are questionable/doubtful, Out means they won't play for that game, Suspended is a suspension and IR usually means the team moves them to their IR for a insignificant or significant amount of time but does not mean they are always out for a very extended period of time.
Right now Rinne I don't believe has been moved to Nashville's IR and should be classified as OUT for now.If your commish needs to edit your IR settings for hockey like this, have the do so. We had a similar post in regards to basketball IR last week, thanks: fleaflicker.com
Interesting. Well, according to the roster on the Preds' website, he's listed as being on "Injured Reserve" (link below). Is there some other more official NHL source than his team that states he isn't? Thanks for your response!
The NHL's IR is different than other sports. You only have to be sidelined 7 days to be placed on the IR.
If the team is officially listing a player on IR, we should be too. We'll contact our stats provider and get it fixed. Moving forward if you see other players on the team's official IR and we are not noting it, e-mail us at fleaflicker.com -- but normally we will pick up on them. Thanks.
