Steve Zalewski got 12:29 minutes of playing time in his Devils' debut on Friday. Zalewski was serving as the team's third line center because Travis Zajac (Achilles) was unavailable. Zalewski won eight of his 11 faceoffs. Zajac might return from his injury in the near future, so Zalewski's NHL stint could be a brief one.

Steve Zalewski is expected to make his season debut on Friday. Look for Zalewski to serve as the Devils' third line center in Travis Zajac's absence. Zalewski has nine goals and 21 points in 34 AHL contests this season.
