Schultz agreed to terms on a one-year, two-way contract with Anaheim on Tuesday, Darren Dreger of TSN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schultz played in a meager 10 games during his two years in Los Angeles an register a goal and an assist over that span. It is almost a lock that the veteran blueliner will be playing in the AHL for 2016-17, where he has performed significantly better. In 66 minor contests last season, the 30-year-old tallied 18 points and 24 PIM.

Schultz has been assigned to AHL Ontario, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Kings reportedly have placed defenseman Matt Greene on long-term injured reserve, which effectively clears cap space in conjunction with Schultz and Nick Ebert heading to Ontario. Schultz has only played in one NHL game this season, but the 6-foot-6, 227-pound skater should get meaningful minutes if he stays put in the minors. Through 20 games, he's collected three assists and 10 PIM for the Reign.

Schultz was recalled from AHL Ontario on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The Kings are in the middle of a six-game road trip at the moment, so Schultz's recall could simply be to provide depth along the blue line. It's also possible that a couple of players are dealing with minor injuries and the recall was a result of that. Regardless, he could have a chance to draw into the lineup Monday if somebody is banged up, though with just three assists in 20 games at AHL Ontario, it's unlikely he'll provide much of an offensive boost.

Schultz was waived by the Kings on Sunday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schultz played in one game with the Kings this season, posting a shot on goal, two blocked shots and 18:15 of ice time. He'll now return to the minors as organizational depth, but could rejoin the club if a blueliner were to suffer an injury. He'll likely be sent to AHL Manchester if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

Schultz will be reassigned to AHL Manchester prior to the Kings' game Wednesday against the Sharks, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports. Schultz was scheduled to be a healthy scratch for the match, so the Kings didn't bother keeping him around any longer with the All-Star break looming after. The blueliner appeared in nine games for the Kings, recording one assist and four PIM. With Robyn Regehr (hand) now back in the fold for L.A., there probably won't be a pressing need for the team to bring Schultz back after the break.

Schultz was recalled from AHL Manchester on Saturday. The Kings had sent Schultz back to the minors following Monday's loss to the Flames. He'll be back to serve as the club's seventh defenseman for most of their games.

Schultz was recalled from AHL Manchester on Friday, Jon Rosen of LA Kings Insider reports. The Kings promoted Schultz in the wake of the hand injury suffered by Robyn Regehr on Thursday, which will sideline him for two-to-three weeks. Jamie McBain is expected to assume a regular spot in the Kings' lineup during that time, while Schultz figures to serve primarily as the team's seventh blueliner.

Schultz cleared waivers and will be sent down to the team's AHL affiliate. Schultz figures to get some time with the bug club if and when injuries hit the Kings' blue line but he'll start the season in the AHL.

Jeff Schultz's two-year deal with the Kings is worth $1.7 million. It's a one-way deal, although so was Schultz's last contract and that didn't stop Los Angeles from burying him in the minors for most of the 2013-14 campaign. At best, Schultz will be a seventh defenseman with the Kings at the start of the season.

The Kings have re-signed defenseman Jeff Schultz to a two-year contract. Schultz got some action with the Kings due to injuries in the postseason, but he spent the better part of the year with Manchester of the AHL. He carries no fantasy value and is nothing more than a depth player for Los Angeles.
