Schneider made 17 saves in a 4-0 loss to the Capitals on Saturday night. He allowed three goals.
He has lost four straight starts; the last two have been shutouts. He's put up solid performances lately, but he can't win games on his own. He's a match-ups guy right now, so long as his teammates fail to give him support.

Schneider will make his next start Saturday against the Capitals, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Schneider will be rested Friday against the Lightning in favor of backup Keith Kinkaid, who coach Pete DeBoer said was deserving of another start after turning in dependable play in his first five appearances of the season. With the Devils' schedule heavy with games of late, DeBoer has been forced to pump the brakes on using Schneider as extensively as he had been through October and November, but an extra rest here and there should only help the goalie. He's lost three games in a row and has a 2.55 GAA and .916 save percentage over 30 outings, ratios that pale in comparison to what he provided a season earlier.

Schneider allowed one goal on 15 shots in Wednesday's 2-0 loss to the Senators.
Schneider played well Wednesday, but ultimately his teammates were never able to break through for a goal on the other end, so Schneider picked up his league-leading 15th loss of the season. He's now dropped three straight decisions, but has the most games played in the NHL with 30, and will continue to get the majority of the starts moving forward.

Schneider will be in the net Wednesday against the Senators, Rich Chere of the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Schneider was given the night off Monday against the Islanders after two disastrous turns in a row against the Flyers and Stars, during which he surrendered a total of seven goals. Despite a sizable workload this season without Martin Brodeur behind him on the depth chart, Schneider hasn't made the most of the opportunity, providing a middling 2.61 GAA and .916 save percentage over 29 outings. He'll match up against Ottawa's Craig Anderson on Wednesday in a tilt between struggling goalies.

Schneider was chased from Saturday's game against the Stars after giving up four goals on 33 shots.
That's three losses in four games for Schneider, who has given up at least three goals in four of his last five starts. While he practically starts every game, Schneider holds a disappointing 11-14-3 record on the season, to go with an impressive .916 save percentage and 2.61 GAA. He remains a strong fantasy option due to his league-leading games played total (29), but be prepared for lots of losses, as the Devils are struggling and sit 13th in the Eastern Conference.

Schneider will be in the crease Saturday against the Stars, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
Schneider has seen a lot of rubber over his last two contests, making a combined total of 71 saves in a win over the Hurricanes and loss to the Flyers. It's allowed him to steadily pad his counting stats, but unless the Devils can provide some more support offensively, he'll be tough to count on for a win on a given night.

Schneider allowed three goals on 35 shots to take a 3-1 loss to the Flyers on Thursday.
It's Schneider's sixth loss now in his last eight starts -- this despite the fact that he's finished with save marks of .906 or better in six of those games. His rate stats remain fantasy-relevant, but the Devils have not shown their traditional defensive excellence this season, nor have they scored many goals in support of the 28-year-old netminder.

Schneider is on track to start Thursday's game against the Flyers, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports.
Schneider was the first goaltender off the ice following Thursday's morning skate, so it's probably safe to count him in as the starter for the tilt with Philadelphia. He will square off against a slumping Flyers squad that has won just two games since Nov. 8.

Schneider made 39 saves in Monday's 2-1 win over the Hurricanes.
Schneider was great on Monday especially late, as he made 17 saves in the third to preserve the one goal advantage. The win pulls him back closer to .500 with a record of 11-12-3. He's played well of late, but hasn't been getting enough support from his mates to get better results.
