McGinn was claimed off waivers by the Coyotes on Monday, ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun reports. A flurry of trades over the last two days have left the Coyotes with some open spots on their roster, and it appears one of them will be plugged by McGinn. The 24-year-old winger showed some promise as a scorer while coming up through the QMJHL, but looks as though he'll probably settle in as little more than a third or fourth liner at the NHL level. That being said, with the Coyotes short on forward talent, McGinn should have more of an opportunity to play meaningful minutes than he enjoyed with either the Flyers or Sharks the past two seasons.
