Florida needed some extra help because Shawn Matthias and Sean Bergenheim were both sidelined. Kennedy had a minus-two rating in 14:09 minutes of playing time. He's worth keeping an eye on as he could surprise some people if he gets top-six minutes, although that's a big if.

The Panthers will have some difficult decisions to make shortly.

Kennedy recorded 67 points in 73 games that year, so Dineen should have an idea of what he can bring to the table.
