Original reports coming out of the desert had Doan as questionable to square off with the Canucks, but this latest news should be encouraging for fantasy owners. A final decision on the winger likely won't be made until closer to puck drop to ensure the 40-year-old is not feeling any discomfort after warm-ups. If for some reason the winger is unable to play, Ryan White will likely slide into the Yotes' fourth line.

Doan registered his 400th career goal while playing in his 1,500th game Friday night. Unfortunately for the captain, his night was spoiled by the 'Yotes losing to the Maple Leafs, 4-1.

While both feats are quite remarkable -- theScore notes that Doan became the sixth player in NHL history to reach 1,500 games played with one club -- it's tough to ignore the fact that Arizona has dropped four straight games. The 40-year-old winger entered this most recent contest on a six-game pointless drought, so one would think that he'll be able to play a more relaxed and focused brand of hockey now that he's unlocked those gaudy milestones.

Doan scored his second goal of the season and registered five shots during Friday's shootout win over Edmonton.

The 39-year-old veteran is relying more on his craftiness than skills at this stage of his career, and it is showing in his stat line. After scoring 28 goals last year, he has just the two tallies through 19 games this season, and Doan isn't currently worth owning in the majority of seasonal leagues.

The apple snapped an eight-game point drought for the 40-year-old, who is clearly slowing down with four points in his first 13 contests this season. Doan's ice time, not surprisingly, is down to 15:43 this year, which is nearly two minutes less than last season and a far cry from the 18-to-20 he used to get. That said, it doesn't mean he's not capable of a burst of production here and there depending on his assignment in the Coyotes' lineup, so those in daily formats may want to check in on his price once in awhile.

His ice time's down by about a minute early on here, which isn't terribly surprising.
