Pulock (lower body) was activated off injured reserve Tuesday, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pulock could make his first NHL appearance in 25 games as soon as Tuesday's tilt against Ottawa. The 27-year-old has averaged 21:07 of ice time -- 1:54 during the man advantage -- and distributed two assists over 12 games this season. Andy Greene is likely to see a reduced role upon Pulock's return.

Pulock (lower body) was designated as a game-time decision for Tuesday's game against Ottawa, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pulock has averaged 19:44 of ice time -- 1:50 during the power play -- and recorded one assist over his last five appearances. His most recent NHL performance was Nov. 15 in a 4-1 loss to Tampa Bay. Coach Barry Trotz stated "he's close," Compton adds.

Pulock (lower body) was able to skate with the Islanders on Thursday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pulock may be back skating with the Islanders, but he's yet to be activated off long-term injured reserve. When he will be activated is up to Pulock, according to coach Barry Trotz. The Islanders have four games in the next six days, and as much as they would like Pulock back in the lineup, they may elect to wait until after the All-Star break to re-insert Pulock back in.

Pulock (lower body) has cleared the league's COVID-19 protocols and has been upgraded to day-to-day according to coach Barry Trotz, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Pulock won't be in action against the Coyotes on Friday, the defenseman is clearly trending in the right direction and could be an option sooner rather than later. The Manitoba native has been sidelined since Nov. 15 versus the Lightning, a stretch of 20 games on injured reserve, but should be capable of pushing for the 20-point mark if he can get back into the lineup soon.

Pulock (lower body) is not expected to be ready to return to the lineup when the Islanders next play Thursday versus the Devils, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pulock has been skating on his own but has yet to practice with the Islanders since the injury. Pulock was initially supposed to return to the team at the start of the new year, but he looks to be at least another 7-10 days away from activation.

Pulock (lower body) has started skating on his own but has no timetable for a return to practice with the Islanders, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pulock has been out of the lineup for the Islanders since Nov. 15, and he has been missed as the team has scrambled to fill his spot with either Sebastian Aho or Robin Salo. Pulock was initially slated to miss 4-6 weeks. Monday will make it six weeks, and it's evident that Pulock is recovering slower than expected. The Islanders are hoping that he will return to the lineup early in 2022.

Pulock (lower body) still isn't ready to lace up the skates, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pulock hasn't played since taking a puck off his foot on Nov. 15. Coach Barry Trotz stated Monday that although Pulock is not yet skating and still doing therapy, he should begin skating in a few days. Trotz also said that there is no exact timetable for Pulock to return and that it will depend on how his rehab progresses. The initial prognosis was that Pulock would miss anywhere between four and six weeks. Monday marks week number five, but it seems likely that Pulock will need more than six weeks before returning to the team. The Islanders game versus the Canadiens was postponed Monday as the NHL has decided that there will be no teams crossing the border until after the Christmas break. The Islanders next play Thursday versus the Capitals.

Pulock (lower body) still hasn't started skating with the Islanders, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pulock has been out since he took a puck off his foot on Nov. 15. The initial prognosis was that he would be out approximately 4-6 weeks due to the injury. Right now, we are a little over three weeks since he has played. Since he has yet to begin skating, it would seem unlikely that he would return to the Islanders at the four-week mark, which would be at some point next week. A return closer to or right after the Christmas break would seem more likely for one of the Islanders' defense's top defenders.

Pulock (lower body) was moved from injured reserve to long-term injured reserve Wednesday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pulock is expected to be sidelined until late December, so this is simply a logistical move to open up some cap space for the Islanders. Look for another update on Pulock, who's picked up two helpers through 12 games this season, once he resumes skating.
