Ryan Jones scored a goal in a 2-1 shootout win Friday night. Jordan Eberle and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins each registered an assist. Nugent-Hopkins also netted the deciding goal in the shootout.

Ryan Jones was demoted to the Oilers' third line during Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to Colorado. He started the game on the second unit alongside Shawn Horcoff and Ryan Smyth, but was replaced by Lennart Petrell in the third period. Jones finished the game on a line with Darcy Hordicuk and Eric Belanger. That's not going to help his fantasy value.

Ryan Jones was not happy with being a healthy scratch on Tuesday night. He snapped a 21-game goal drought with his 13th marker of the year last Friday against Colorado, but may have been scratched for being victimized for goals against in the first minute versus Toronto and Vancouver last week. He's a battler and a great glue guy, but he doesn't have enough offensive skill or collect enough penalty minutes to be a factor in any league.

"You have to stand up for yourself and not just through Jonesy, but as a team, we have to get equated with that as a team and understand that every game is a battle. Teams are going to look at us and not just going to hand us two points, they're going to go get them. We have to make sure we understand that first and foremost and we have to get after that, too."

There was a scoring correction from Monday's Edmonton which credited Ryan Jones with his 12th goal of the season. The goal was originally given to Corey Potter so if you see two goals beside his name in your stats instead of three, now you know why. If you have Jones, make sure your stats provider has given him credit for the goal.

Oilers left winger Ryan Jones made the most of his three shots on goal against Columbus the other day, scoring on all three for his first career hat trick. They were Jones' only shots on goal in the last four games.
