Rich Peverley has been dealt to Dallas as part of Thursday's big Loui Eriksson-Tyler Seguin trade. The trade involved seven players. Peverley didn't have a productive 2013 season. He registered just six goals and 18 points in 47 games during the regular season and he added only two markers in 21 playoff matches. He could provide the Stars with some much-needed center depth, but if they play him on the wing then he might skate alongside Jamie Benn or Tyler Seguin as a top-six forward.

Rich Peverley potted his first goal Wednesday night since Game 3 of the opening round against Toronto. He had gone 16 straight postseason contests without finding the back of the entering Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. Peverley tallied a power-play marker in the first period to even the score at 1-1 after one period. The Bruins went on to lose the match 6-5 in overtime. Peverley has been on Boston's fourth line during even strength situations and he has just two points in 19 games during the 2013 playoffs.

Rich Peverley is expected to stay between Kaspars Daugavins and Tyler Seguin in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The trio ended Round 3 together and Chris Kelly played on the fourth line with Shawn Thornton and Daniel Paille. The changes were made after Gregory Campbell's season-ending injury in Game 3 against Pittsburgh. Boston's lineup isn't expected to change going into Wednesday night's meeting versus Chicago.

Rich Peverley has one goal in 11 playoff games. Coach Claude Julien doesn't doubt that Peverley can contribute more offensively, but it's been a struggle for him all season. He had six goals and 18 points in 47 regular-season contests and he doesn't have a point in nine straight playoff games. Peverley also opened the postseason as a healthy scratch in Game 1 versus Toronto.

Rich Peverley logged 13:42 of ice time in his return to Boston's lineup Saturday night in Game 2. The Bruins are still waiting to get some offense out of their third line, which has been sore spot for the club all year. The thought was that Jaromir Jagr would help add some scoring punch alongside Peverley and Chris Kelly, but that is yet to happen. Jagr, Peverley, Kelly and Kaspars Daugavins, who played instead of Peverley in Game 1 against Toronto, don't have a point in Boston's first-round series.

There is no word yet as to whether Rich Peverley will draw back into the Bruin lineup for Game 2 against Toronto Saturday night. He was a healthy scratch for Boston's convincing 4-1 win in Game 1. That said, he was practising on the Bruins' third line during scrimmages Friday. We suspect Peverley will sit out another game but may get a chance when the series moves to Toronto.

Rich Peverley joined Kaspars Daugavins, Jaromir Jar and Chris Kelly on the third line for Wednesday's morning skate. Daugavins took the first shift which suggests he'll play and Peverley would sit as a healthy scratch in Game 1.

Rich Peverley's presence on the fifth line during Tuesday's practice raised some eyebrows, but coach Claude Julien hasn't committed to his lineup yet for Wednesday night's playoff opener. Peverley could be made a healthy scratch for Game 1, but Julien expects to get back to relying on him at some point in the series. "There's no doubt, when he looks at his stats, it's disappointing. We all know that Pevs is a better player than he's shown," Julien said. "But I think he's been getting better lately and skating a lot better than he has all year. . . . We certainly have hopes of him being a good player for us in the playoffs." He has also been a decent postseason performer in his career while picking up 19 points in 38 contests.

Rich Peverley ended his seven-game pointless slump on Saturday. Peverley recorded an assist in the second period and finished the game with a plus-two rating. He also was charged with a tripping penalty in the third period, which helped most fantasy owners, but ultimately cost the Bruins the lead in their eventual 3-2 overtime loss.

Rich Peverley ended a 10-game goalless slump with his fifth goal in Monday's win over Carolina. He also added an assist in the contest. Peverley has been disappointing offensively this campaign with just 14 points in 37 contests. The Bruins need him to step up with Patrice Bergeron sidelined and he's hoping he can build off this with 10 games remaining in the regular season.
