Vrbata scored a power-play goal in Tuesday's 5-1 win over the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Vrbata deflected his own shot past Carey Price to extend Vancouver's lead to 4-1 in the third period. It was just his second goal of the season and first on the man advantage. Vrbata, along with Daniel and Henrik Sedin, has lagged a bit to start the season. Vrbata will need the Sedin's to get it going if he plans on reaching the 30-goal mark for a second straight year.

Vrbata scored his first goal of the season and had a power-play assist in Thursday's 3-2 loss to the Capitals.
EDGE Analysis
Vrbata came from behind the net and stuffed the puck under Braden Holtby's pads to get the Canucks on the board. The Sedin twins' worked their magic on the PP, which led to Vrbata's second point of the night. After tallying 63 points in 67 games last season, Vrbata had gone scoreless through six games to start 2015-16. His first two points weren't enough to lead Vancouver to a win, but is a good sign moving forward.

Vrbata will play alongside the Sedin brothers on the Canucks' top line Thursday against the Capitals, Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Head coach Willie Desjardins told reporters Tuesday that he was reluctant to "load up" the top line, but has decided to do so in hopes it will help Vrbata break out of his early-season slump. Vrbata, who racked up 63 points (31 goals, 32 assists) in 79 games last season, has yet to record a single point through the first six games of the season. Skating alongside the dynamic Sedin duo should improve his chances of producing in the offensive end.

Vrbata has been held pointless through four games to start the season.
EDGE Analysis
While Vrbata may not be factoring in on he scorehseet, the 34-year-old is leading the NHL with 18 shots on goal and came through in the clutch with a beautiful shootout goal against the Ducks on Tuesday. The Czech sniper potted 31 goals last season and with the frequency he shoots the puck at, it's only a matter of time before he finds twine. Skating on the second line and playing on the top power-play unit, Vrbata is due to start producing points very soon.

Vrbata nabbed an assist in Sunday's preseason finale win over the Oilers. He finishes exhibition play with no goals and two helpers in four games.
EDGE Analysis
It was a fairly quiet preseason for Vrbata, who churned out 31 goals in his first season in Vancouver. Don't read too much into his preseason play, as coach Willie Desjardins was experimenting with different line combinations and Vrbata couldn't really settle in with things constantly changing. He'll play in a top-six role this season and should land alongside the Sedin twins on the power play once again. Considering Vrbata racked up 12 power-play goals, seven game-winning goals and 267 shots on goal in 2014-15, the Czech sniper should be owned in almost every fantasy format this season.

Vrbata has expressed concern over not knowing who his linemates will be this season, Brad Ziemer of the Vancouver Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vrbata added, "For me it is important to know who I am playing with and if it's not Danny (Daniel Sedin) or Hank (Henrik Sedin), learn their tendencies and build chemistry. That extra second can be the difference if you score a goal or you don't ..." It's not as if Vrbata has a lot of time to build chemistry with his eventual linemates. After all, his team has just one game remaining on the exhibition schedule. Vrbata's fantasy value would take a hit if he's moved away from the Sedin twins because they are established playmakers that helped the winger notch 31 goals and 32 assists for 63 points, a career high, last season.

Vrbata recorded an assist and five shots on goal in Thursday's Game 5 victory over the Flames. Vrbata isn't putting up any sort of prolific production on the second line during the Canucks' first-round series, but with a goal, two assists, and 18 shots on goal through five games, he certainly isn't underachieving. He'll typically make for a suitable fantasy option on the wing during most daily slates.

Vrbata grabbed two assists in Saturday's win over the Oilers. Vrbata finishes the season with 31 goals and 63 points in 79 games. Now that's how you make a first impression with a new team. The fantasy stud, who potted 12 power-play goals, seven-game winners and recorded 267 shots on goal in his first year with Vancouver, will pay great dividends in playoff pools if the Canucks can get past the first round.

Vrbata tallied a goal, an assist, and a plus-2 rating in Monday's 4-1 win over the Blues. Vrbata has been on an incredible stretch as Monday's outing was his fifth multi-point effort in his last six games. The 33-year-old has picked up an impressive 18 points in March and will have the opportunity to pad that total before the month ends in Tuesday's contest against the Predators. Keep him rolling.

Vrbata hit the 30-goal mark Saturday, scoring a power-play goal and adding an assist in a loss to the Stars. Another strong outing for Vrbata, who has been firing on all cylinders of late. He now sits 10th in the NHL goal-scoring race and has racked up four goals and nine points in his last five games. He's fired 18 shots on goal in his last three games and is up to 58 points in 72 games on the season. You know what to do.
