The 25-year-old is up to 11 goals on the year and has fired seven shots on goal in his last two outings, so look for him to continue lightning the lamp and build off this two-goal outburst.

While the Coyotes' rookies have led the team out the gate, Boedker is still their most important forward.

After losing Keith Yandle at the trade deadline last season, the Coyotes are still trying to figure out the right pairings on their power-play units. Boedker did pick up 12 special team points a year ago, but the move off the blue line could lead to more opportunities for the 25-year-old to factor onto the scoresheet.

Boedker signed a one-year, $3.75 million contract with the Coyotes on Tuesday, Sarah McLellan of the Arizona Republic reports. Boedker was on pace to register his second straight 50-point season last year, tallying 14 goals and 14 assists in 45 games, before a ruptured spleen ended his 2014-15 campaign prematurely. He will likely return to his role on the Coyote's first line, and could be in line for a break out season if he is able to stay healthy.
