Neuvirth (lower body) has a chance of returning Tuesday against Dallas or Wednesday versus Colorado, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
After taking a key step in his recovery by skating Mar. 20, his rehab has continued to stay on track, and it looks like Neuvirth has a strong chance at returning within the next seven days. More information should be released by the team before he does draw a start, but it's unclear what the situation will be with Neuvirth and Petr Mrzek for the remainder of the season, but it's a safe bet to assume Alex Lyon will be sent down when the Czech native has a clean bill of health.

Neuvirth (lower body) traveled to Detroit and participated in morning skate, but there's still no timetable for his return, NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Flyers reportedly will start Petr Mrazek against his former club Tuesday evening, as Neuvirth won't be available; nor will Brian Elliott, who is out with a lower-body injury of his own. Still, it's nice to see any sign of progress for Neuvy, as we had been hearing crickets since he landed on injured reserve a month ago.

Neuvirth (lower body) has been placed on injured reserve, per the NHL media site.
EDGE Analysis
Considering Neuvirth was given a 4-6 week timetable for recovery from his lower-body issue, the move to injured reserve shouldn't be much of a surprise. More information on his timeline should begin to surface in the coming weeks when he begins taking steps in his recovery, Petr Mrazek figures to take on a workhorse role for the Flyers with both Neuvirth and Brian Elliott (lower body) unavailable.

Neuvirth (lower body) has been handed a 4-6 week timetable for recovery.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth's injury -- in concert with Brian Elliott (lower body) being sidelined for an extended period of time -- led the Flyers to add Petr Mrazek from the Red Wings via trade. Mrazek will likely assume primary goaltending duties while the veteran pair rehabs from their injuries. Fortunately for the club, neither of the goalies is expected back prior to the trade deadline. Once the deadline expires, the Flyers can keep as many goalies on the active roster as they deem necessary. The interesting decision will come prior to 2018, with both Neuvirth and Elliott remaining under contract and the younger Mrazek a restricted free agent.

Neuvirth (lower body) is expected to miss multiple weeks of action according to coach Ron Hextall, Craig Custance of The Athletic Detroit reports.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth suffered a lower-body injury during Sunday's game against the Rangers, and apparently the injury is somewhat severe. In his undefined absence, newly-acquired Petr Mrazek will likely see the bulk of starts, with Alex Lyon filling in when needed, as Brian Elliott (lower body) remains at least a month away from returning.

Neuvirth (lower body) left Sunday's game against the Rangers and won't return, Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth allowed three goals on just 14 shots, so that was assumed to be the reason Alex Lyon started the second period. However, Neuvirth was absent from the bench as well, so if Lyon gets hurt, the Flyers will turn to an emergency backup. If Neuvirth's injury is serious, it puts the Flyers at the top of the list of teams searching for a goaltender before the deadline, since Brian Elliott (lower body) will be out until late March.

Neuvirth will make his fourth straight start against the Rangers on Sunday, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Neuvirth has faced over 36 shots in each of his last three starts, allowing just one goal in two of those games, but yielding four goals in the other. Still, the interim starter has posted a .946 save percentage in that span and the Flyers' offense is rocking right now, averaging 3.5 goals per game over the last six. The Rangers, on the other hand, have averaged under two goals per contest in nine February outings, which could make Neuvirth a value start Sunday.

Neuvirth allowed one goal on 36 shots in a 2-1 overtime victory over the Blue Jackets on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Since replacing the injured Brian Elliott (lower-body) during a shootout last Saturday, Neuvirth has turned in one great performance and another subpar one. Add this one to the stellar column. One consistent thing for Neuvirth, though, is the fact he's made at least 35 saves in all three of his starts over the last week. He's receiving a ton of work, and the Flyers hope he continues to respond better than he did prior to Elliott's injury. In his first 17 appearances this season, he posted a .911 save percentage.

Neuvirth will patrol the crease Friday against the Blue Jackets, Mark Scheig of The Hockey Writers reports.
EDGE Analysis
This will be Neuvirth's third consecutive start since Brian Elliott suffered a lower-body malady that will keep him out 5-to-6 weeks. Neuvirth played phenomenally against the Golden Knights on Sunday, steering away 38 of 39 shots. Tuesday's start was a different story, when he yielded four goals on 36 shots in an shootout loss to the Devils. The Flyers' offensive support makes Neuvirth a value option, though, as they've scored at least four goals in each of the last four games, covering up his sub-par outings.

Neuvirth stopped 32 of 36 shots before giving up the only goal in the shootout during Tuesday's 5-4 loss to the Devils.
EDGE Analysis
Brian Elliott's core muscle surgery leaves the Flyers' netminding duties mainly in Neuvirth's hands for the next month-plus, and so far he's showing signs of rising to the occasion, making 70 saves in two starts since Elliott went down. His overall numbers on the season aren't exceptional, but Neuvirth should at least see a hefty workload through March and get a chance to collect some wins, even if his save percentage reverts back towards his career .912 mark.
