The Raymond signing hasn't done much for Calgary, as he was a healthy scratch at times last year and apparently hasn't impressed in preseason either. He will join AHL Glen Falls if he clears waivers.

Hey -- we're not big on him either, but he does have a tendency to come out of the blocks fast. He'd be a risky play, as he's often as cold as he is warm, but there are some formats where he might help.

Raymond registered a helper Thursday in a 3-1 win against the Kings. After a rough stretch in December and January, Raymond has picked up his production a bit. He does have four points in his last eight games, but that's about as good of scoring as you're going to get from him.

Raymond tallied his 12th goal of the season Friday in a 5-2 win against Detroit. Raymond has a pair of points in three games since returning from paternity leave. He will provide bursts of offense, but you will have to deal with the droughts as well.

Mason (paternity) joined the team in Philadelphia, making him a likely candidate to play Tuesday against the Flyers, Scott Cruickshank reports. Mason left the team briefly on paternity leave, as his wife brought new life into the world Thursday in the form of a baby girl. He has rejoined the Flames, however, which likely indicates he will play again Tuesday.

Raymond (paternity) will not return to the Flames in time for Friday's game against the Islanders, Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports. Raymond and his wife welcomed the birth of his daughter Thursday morning, so the forward will spend the next few days with his family. He's expected to rejoin the Flames in Philadelphia for Tuesday's game.
