Mark Fraser has been placed on waivers. Fraser hasn't played with the Anaheim Ducks since they acquired him from New Jersey on December 11th. Fraser was sent to the minors on a conditioning stint, but that only allows him to spend up to 14 days in the AHL. It looks like the Ducks intend to keep him in the minors for longer than that.

The Anaheim Ducks have acquired Mark Fraser, Rod Pelley, and a 2012 seventh round pick from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Kurtis Foster and goaltending prospect Timo Pielmeier. Fraser has played in just four games with the Devils this season. He might get more playing time with Anaheim, but he isn't expected to have any fantasy value in standard leagues.

Mark Fraser, who has sat frequently this year as a healthy scratch, got back into New Jersey's lineup on Wednesday night in Colorado. He dressed for the first time since Nov. 5 in the place of injured defenseman Andy Greene. Fraser has appeared in just three games with the Devils this campaign and shouldn't be on fantasy roster.

Despite being placed on waivers on Monday, GM Lou Lamoriello said defenseman Mark Fraser and forward Rod Pelley would remain on the Devils' roster if they are not claimed before Tuesday's noon deadline. Lamoriello said the moves were made in case he wants to call up another player and to give them chances to play elsewhere. This is the second time this season both of these players have been on waivers and there's also a good chance that they will play on Tuesday night against Carolina should they clear.
