Klein (arm) has been activated from IR and will return to the lineup for Thursday's Game 1 of the Rangers' second-round series with the Capitals. Klein has missed the Rangers' previous 21 games dating back to the regular season, but after he was able to resume practicing this week, it looks like the team will now have its blue line back at full strength. The 30-year-old, who posted a career-best nine goals, 26 points, and plus-24 rating over 65 games, will likely skate next to Keith Yandle on the Rangers' third defensive pairing.

Klein (arm) said that he is ready to go in advance of the second round of the NHL playoffs. The Rangers still list Klein on IR, but in the absence of any setbacks, he'll be activated before Game 1 of the team's second-round playoff series, against an opponent that has yet to be determined.

Klein (arm) will not play in Friday's Game 5 against the Penguins, Pat Leonard of the NY Daily News reports. Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said Thursday that Klein had a 50-50 chance to return for Friday's game, but it now appears the veteran blueliner will either target Game 6 or the next series.

Coach Alain Vigneault indicated that Klein (arm) is "50-50" for Friday's game against the Penguins, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Klein is inching toward a return, but given that he was sore after Wednesday's morning skate, he's far from a lock to return to action in Friday's Game 5.

Klein (arm) won't return to the lineup for Wednesday's Game 4 against the Penguins, NHL.com's Dan Rosen reports. While Klein will sit out a 20th consecutive contest with the injury, it appears he's very close to a return, which could come at some point during the first-round series. He took the ice for Wednesday's morning skate and was taking slap shots with the Rangers' expected scratches after the session, a sign his arm is healing well.

Klein (arm) will not play Monday against the Penguins, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports. Klein is on the the road with the Rangers, who also take on the Penguins in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, so at the moment at least, the blueliner can't be ruled out for that contest.

Klein (arm) participated in the Rangers' optional morning skate on Saturday, Dan Rosen of NHL.com reports. Klein has already been ruled out of Saturday's Game 2. Head coach Alain Vigneault has stated that Klein will need to log at least one full practice before returning to game action, so the fact that he was able to return to the ice on Saturday, albeit in a limited fashion, is certainly promising in that regard. His next chance to play will come on Monday.

Klein (arm) was not at practice Friday, Tom Gulitti of The Record reports. Klein is still recovering from a broken arm, and he remains day-to-day. With Game 2 slated for Saturday night, it seems unlikely Klein plays after failing to get a practice in beforehand.

Klein (arm) remains sidelined in advance of Thursday's playoff opener against the Penguins, the Rangers' official site reports. Klein, who missed the final 16 games of the Rangers' regular season slate, did not practice Wednesday and remains day-to-day, according to coach Alain Vigneault. Filling in for Klein in Game 1, at a minimum, will be Matt Hunwick.

Klein (arm) is not expected to play Thursday against the Penguins, Andrew Gross of The Record reports. Coach Alain Vigneault indicated that in order for Klein to play on Thursday, the defender would have to practice Wednesday, something that Vigneault doesn't expect to occur. "He's day to day," Vigneault said Tuesday. "I think everyone knows a broken bone takes time to heal. We anticipated four to six (weeks). We're in that range. He's been skating on his own but he's not quite ready to yet to join the team."
