The 32-year-old signing with Dallas is a clear indication that he is gunning for a second Stanley Cup Championship. Fantasy owners can expect the winger to no only to slot into a spot in the top two lines, but also to contribute on the power play, where he averaged 1:54 of ice time per game and notched 10 points with the man advantage during the 2015-16 campaign.

On Saturday, the Panthers will not have any lineup changes among their skaters compared to their last game played against the Devils, George Richards of the Miami Herald reports. As a result, Hudler (groin) is expected to be in the lineup.

Hudler's groin injury was never considered serious, so it appears safe to plug him back into fantasy lineups. The 32-year-old veteran is still getting used to his new digs in Florida, but it's been disappointing to see his average ice time on the power play drop from around three minutes per game in Calgary to 1:13 with the Panthers. The Cats own the 23rd-ranked power-play unit in the league, so it's not like the team doesn't need help in that area.

Hudler exited Thursday's game late after taking a stick to the groin but coach Gerard Gallant indicated afterward that it's not considered serious, Harvey Fialkov of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports.

It sounds as though it was a case of bad stick placement, and there's a good chance he will be back in the lineup for Saturday's game against the Canadiens. However, owners interested should check back later for confirmation of his status for the tilt.

The pair of goals were the first as a Panther for Hudler, who was playing in his third game with Florida after departing Calgary in trade. He also fired six shots on goal in the contest, which is uncharacteristically high for a guy who only has 88 SOG in 56 games this season.

Another update on Hudler should come before Saturday's contest against the Coyotes, confirming whether or not he'll finally be able to join the team.

Hudler is a crafty veteran who adds scoring muscle for a Panthers team in prime position for a playoff run as current leaders within the Atlantic Division. The 32-year-old is also no stranger to the man advantage, having averaged no less than 2:25 of power-play ice time in the past six seasons split between the Red Wings and Flames -- there's very little doubt that was a consideration for the Panthers as they've been working with a power play ranked 27th in the NHL this season.

Hudler notched his 10th goal of the season on three shots in a 2-1 OT loss to the Islanders on Thursday.

Hudler has extended his point streak to three games, with a goal and two assists in that span. He's also managed to rack up 11 points and a plus-6 rating in his last 12 games. He's now picked up 10 goals and 25 assists in 53 games this season. He certainly may be worth a look in some formats, especially if he can keep up the production of his last 12 games.

Hudler scored twice and chipped in a helper in Monday afternoon's 6-4 loss to Anaheim.

Hudler did his best to put the Flames on his back in the matinee, but he and his mates were ultimately let down by some shoddy goaltending. Hudler has been quite solid of late, rattling off 10 points in his last 10 games, which perhaps will boost his trade value as the NHL trade deadline approaches on Feb. 29.
