Jason Arnott (shoulder) is a game-time decision on Saturday. Arnott suffered the ailment in the third period of Friday's game. "Questionable ... he's close," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. "I would have said last night he's probably out, but he's feeling a lot better this morning."

Jason Arnott suffered a shoulder injury in the third period Friday and did not return. Arnott was hit by the Kings Dustin Brown and slid into the boards, injuring his shoulder. Coach Ken Hitchcock does not think the injury is serious. "He's going to be on the trip and we'll see how he feels in the morning, but it's not significant right now," Hitchcock said. Stay tuned.

Jason Arnott potted two goals in the Blues' 3-2 overtime loss against the Vancouver Canucks Thursday night With the marker tonight, Arnott now has 12 goals on the season. The veteran also has been a force on the power play and looks to be worthy of a roster spot in deeper pools.

The St. Louis Blues have improved their power play from last in the NHL to 24th of late in efficiency. Jason Arnott leads the team with 10 power play points although David Backes has been on the ice for the most power play goals at 13. "We've become a very good power play now shooting the puck," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. "Our percentage on the power play has become strong (13.9 percent). When we initiate everything off the shot, when we make plays after we shoot the puck, we're a very good power play." The Blues were around eight percent a few weeks ago and have scored nine of their 19 power play goals over the last month.

Jason Arnott, who had been suffering from the flu, was able to play on Sunday. Arnott didn't participate in Saturday's contest due to the illness. He had a goal and a plus-two rating in 15:37 minutes of playing time Sunday.

Jason Arnott returned to action on Sunday December 18.

Arnott is the 89th NHLer to hit the mark, joining Nicklas Lidstrom, Roman Hamrlik, Jaromir Jagr, Teemu Selanne and Brian Rolston among active players. "It's been a fun ride," Arnott said. "A dream come true. Any kid that wants to play hockey in Canada in a small town growing up just dreams of playing one day, one game in the NHL. I've had the opportunity to play 1,200."

Jason Arnott centered St. Louis' fourth line, between Scott Nichol and Chris Porter, on Tuesday night. "(Arnott) is really good on the power play for us, and they're going to get ice," coach Ken Hitchcock said. "But I think by putting two speedy guys with him, he's able to play in the middle of the ice more and control things. He doesn't have to play 200 feet on every shift. I think he can play a 150-foot game and be a good player for us." The veteran pivot has four goals, 13 points and a plus-10 rating in 27 games this campaign.
