Dallas Stars center Jamie Benn is considered questionable for the start of training camp in September as he continues to recover from a pair of hip injuries, according to the Dallas Morning News. Benn underwent surgery on both hips after the season and was given a recovery timetable of four-to-five months. The 26-year-old recently increased the amount of skating he is doing but has yet to progress to more strenuous activities. "I’m skating three times a week now — it’s just working on the edges really," Benn said. "Workouts are picking up, but it’s still controlled. I get pretty antsy at times, but the trainers remind me that I’ve got plenty of time and just take it slow. We need to get off on the right foot, we need to be prepared, and we need to build on the things we did at the end of last season. We learned a lot, so we need to remember those lessons."

Benn has resumed skating on two occasions since undergoing surgery on both of his hips in the spring, NHL.com's Mark Stepneski reports.

Benn believes he's ahead of schedule in his recovery from the procedures, but with training camp still a ways off, the Stars won't look to speed up his activity level quite yet. The league's leading point scorer last season with 35 goals and 52 assists, a healthier Benn should be primed for another big season in 2015-16 alongside Tyler Seguin.

Benn underwent a second procedure on his hip earlier this week, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.

The Stars planned on having Benn go under the knife twice all along, as he needed to address impingements on each hip that kept him at less than 100 percent by the tail end of the season. The Art Ross Trophy winner is expected to be able to resume skating again in August, putting him on track to participate fully during training camp.

Benn underwent surgery on his hip Monday, Mike Heika of the Dallas Morning News reports.

It's the first of two scheduled procedures during the offseason for Benn, who will rest up for the next week before having surgery on his other hip. He's expected to miss to require 4-to-5 months of recovery time, which could limit his availability during the initial stages of training camp. However, it's expected that the winger, who led the NHL in scoring with a career-high 87 points, will be ready to go by the time the 2015-16 campaign opens. With Tyler Seguin still pivoting him on the top line, Benn figures to warrant a first- or second-round selection in most fantasy formats.

Benn will undergo an offseason procedure on his hip, Mark Stepneski of NHL.com reports.

Benn -- who played in all 82 games for the Stars this past season en route to leading the NHL in scoring -- is looking at a four-to-five month rehab period following the surgery, which, given the timing of the procedure, puts him on track to be ready to go in time for the start of next season, in the absence of any setbacks.

Benn claimed the NHL scoring title Saturday, netting a hat trick and adding an assist in a win over Nashville.

An electrifying performance from Benn, who assisted on a Cody Eakin goal with just 10 seconds left in the game to secure the title. The 25-year-old had a spectacular finish to the season, notching seven goals and 15 points in his final six games. He finishes the season with a whopping 35 goals and 87 points, making him a sure-fire first round pick in next year's drafts.

Benn went off for another three assists Wednesday in a 4-0 win over the Ducks, giving him 19 points over his last 11 games.

The 25-year-old has been an absolute animal this season, as he now sits in a three-way tie with Sidney Crosby and John Tavares for the NHL scoring lead with 83 points. He's an underdog at this point to take home the Art Ross trophy, however, since both Crosby, Tavares -- and even Jakub Voracek (81 points) of the Flyers -- have two games remaining to Benn's one. Nonetheless, the Stars captain, along with fellow superstar Tyler Seguin, have been everything owners and fans in Dallas could ask for and more this season. As long as these two are around, the future will be very bright in Big D.

Benn was a beast Monday, scoring twice and adding an assist in a 5-1 win over the Sharks. He has nine goals and 16 points over his last 10 games.

Benn's late-season heater should is nothing new for the Stars' captain, who moved into a three-way tie with Alex Ovechkin and John Tavares for second in league scoring with 80 points. He has been a menace to opposing netminders all season long and might just be the best power forward in the game, something like a Ryan Getzlaf 2.0. His buddy and linemate Tyler Seguin has been no slouch either -- racking up 76 points of his own, albeit in just 70 games, 10 less than Benn -- and together they make up one of the most formidable one-two punches in all of the NHL.

Benn hit the 30-goal mark Friday, scoring twice and adding an assist in a loss to the Blues.

That's back-to-back 30-goal seasons for Benn, who has piled up seven goals and 13 points in his last eight games. He's sitting fourth in the NHL scoring race with 77 points in 78 games and could potentially hit the 80-point barrier for the first time in his career. With a whopping 47 assists and 242 shots on goal, the 25-year-old can be rolled out with confidence in these final few games.

Jamie Benn added a pair of assists in 22:24 of ice time in Monday's loss to the Flames.

Benn's 46 assists ranks seventh in the NHL and his 74 points ranks fifth. He may not top the 79 points he posted last year, but he's proving that he's a consistent elite-level talent.
