The Red Wings will assign Jan Mursak (ankle) to Grand Rapids of the AHL on a conditioning assignment right after Christmas. He hasn't played all season due to a fractured ankle he sustained in training camp. Even when he returns to the NHL, Mursak has no fantasy value.
