The Jets acquired Tlusty from the Hurricanes on Wednesday in exchange for a 2016 third-round draft pick and a conditional 2015 sixth-round draft pick. The Jets were in the market for a winger after Blake Wheeler (knee) hit IR and Mathieu Perreault (lower body) suffered a likely season-ending injury, and it appears they may have found their man in Tlusty. The 26-year-old winger had managed 23 points and a minus-17 rating in 52 games with the Hurricanes, but he figures to notice improvement in both categories with the move to Winnipeg. There's a strong possibility the team will insert him in their top-six group of forwards right away, putting his fantasy value clearly on the rise.
