The Canucks brought back Guillaume Desbiens on a one-year, two-way contract. The deal is worth $600,000 at the NHL level. Desbiens was with the Canucks for three seasons before spending the last one in the Flames organization. The 27-year-old tough guy has played in only 23 NHL games in his career (recording no points) and is known for racking up the penalty minutes as his 139 in 69 games between the AHL and NHL last year attest.
