Taormina was recalled from AHL Syracuse on Thursday, Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports.

Taormina made his NHL debut in 2010-11 with the Devils, and has seen sporadic appearances ever since, never tallying more than 30 games played in a single NHL season. He'll provide the Lightning with depth on the defensive end.
