Stalberg cleared waivers on Thursday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports. As expected, Stalberg went unclaimed in large part due to his $3 million cap hit. He's been a bit of a disappointment since signing with the Predators in July 2013, and is unlikely to occupy a meaningful role for the team in 2015-16.
