Staal was a plus-1 in Thursday's win over Ottawa. Although Staal (one assist in his last 11 games) hasn't had much of an impact to fantasy owners in quite some time, surely this comes as a relief to his teammates and coaching staff. After missing practice on Wednesday with what was labeled as a maintenance day and not participating in Thursday's optional practice it's good for everyone to see the 28-year-old stay at home defenseman return to his 21-plus minutes of ice time a game.
